Karate is one type of martial arts that’s very popular all over the world. The translation of the word karate roughly means ”empty hand,” so this form of combat and defense emphasizes the use of arms and legs to strike and block an opponent, instead of using weapons. Karate originated in Eastern Asia, but many different forms emerged in Japan

What we do

Our first and foremost goal is to create an environment to which your child wants to return to week after week. Sunshine or rain.

A place where the children meet their friends, learn to work hard towards goals and win and lose together.

Our second goal is to develop the children’s skills, on all levels necessary. Strength, Agility, Speed and of course the sport itself.

Our third goal is to foster a healthy relationship to competition. The children will learn how to win and lose. How to deal with emotions and how to achieve results together as a team and individually.

Those are our responsibilities both as a club and as coaches.

Your child should eventually buy a gi. The coach will let you know at which point it is necessary. It’s not needed the first few practices.

We practice 2 times/hours per week. When you sign up for the course, please pick 2 days per week that fits your schedule. We will provide you with the open slots we have available.

  1. Your child will receive a certificate of the completed course with George. Your Child is now more than ready to take on Karate practice on a regular basis.
  2. After the course your child would also most likely be ready for his/her first belt. This is an optional exam you can take to get the “10 Kyu Red Belt” in KyodoKyokushin – International Budokai Union. Please let George know if you are interested and he will make sure you get all you need to pass the exam.

The course lasts for 8 week, 2 practices per week. The start date is any day between the 14th and the 17th of September.

You can also start at a later date but will either have to pay a higher fee depending on how many classes you missed or you only finish the remaining classes.

If you start late, we will also do our best to help you finish the whole course. We could for example offer you to catch up with 3 instead of 2 practices per week.

Please email us on [email protected] and we will figure out the best plan for you.
